Meet Jazmine Rocks, of Jazzabelle’s Diary – a freelance stylist with a love for all things second hand, Starbucks and William Morris. You’re most likely to find her browsing the V&A, or hunting for beautiful bargains at car boot sales and in her local charity shops where we envy her talent of finding the most amazing pieces to style up for just a couple of pounds!
We couldn’t wait to find out how she got into blogging and her highlights so far…
How long have you been blogging?
I started my blog back in March 2010.
What inspired you to start a blog?
I attended a preview of an exhibition at the Victoria and Albert Museum and was just so inspired by everything I saw that I wanted to write about it in hope to inspire others to visit. I then decided that my blog would make a perfect online diary – it’s been amazing to see my progress throughout the years.
What subjects do you love blogging about?
My personal style, secondhand finds, favourite places in Battersea and my day to day life. I’m very honest on my blog, so as well as showcasing my style and life, I also talk openly about how I feel, especially about my issues with my self esteem.
What has been your highlight so far?
As cliche as it sounds, it’s got to be meeting so many other wonderful bloggers! I’ve met some truly lovely people since starting my blog, some of them are now my closest friends. Modelling for Miss Selfridge and attending WWD MAGIC in Las Vegas have also been amazing highlights.
What is your personal style?
Very simple and classic. I’m not one for fuss and love to mix high street clothes with my secondhand finds.
What is your favourite item in your wardrobe?
At the moment it’s got to be my Cheap Monday black denim jacket! It’s so very ‘me’ and goes with absolutely everything in my wardrobe.
What other blogs do you follow?
What Olivia Did, It’s Cohen, Into The Fold, Ella Masters, Snippets of Shiny Thoughts, Being Little and Lisette Loves.
Any tips for those aspiring bloggers out there starting their own blog?
Stay true to yourself, don’t expect too much and take the best pictures you possibly can.
