We recently met up with one of our favourite Instagramers, blogger Andreea Panciac of Dreaming of Chanel. If you are always looking for outfit inspiration then this is the blog to follow. Andreaa is genius when it comes to styling the most fashionable of looks, from on trend city style to a Sunday afternoon off duty look. We had a fantastic photo shoot with Andreaa and particularly loved the looks she styled with our preloved treasures.
Q: When did you start blogging and why?
Dreaming of Chanel was born one year or so ago , after years of literally breathing fashion.
It started as a hobby , as an escape from my daily and rather hectic commitments, but it soon transformed into what it is today - a fashion and lifestyle blog, with a fantastic inspirational and motivational aspect.
Q: How have you been able to make a career out of blogging?
It is well documented that the world of fashion moves at an incredibly fast pace: new trends, new shapes , new colours, new designers. All of this makes the world of the bloggers a very challenging and ever-changing landscape. As a result, although thousands of fashion bloggers start every year, most new start-ups fail. It takes a lot of time and determination to get noticed and being different and unique is probably the only way to break in. My only advice is to be ready to work hard , always strive for more and stand for what you believe in.
Q: What are the things you find most rewarding about blogging?
I absolutely love working in this industry, a world where I am my own boss. That means I set the rules and my goals and the success of my blog lies in my own hands.
Working with different brands and designers is sometimes stressful, but most of the time is fun and rewarding. Building strong and lasting relationships, both with your readers and brands is essential for your blog.
Being featured in different magazines or being invited by some designers to the London Fashion Week is probably the most rewarding thing - is like a dream came true!
Q: You write mostly about fashion and style and you have a great eye. If you could be a stylist for a day who would you style?
I work in freelance as a stylist and I absolutely love it! I even got the chance to style for the annual Look Show organized by Look magazine.
However styling can be challenging - researching is one of the key points. Just because I think my ideas are great doesn't mean my clients will. I need to research my potential customers needs beforehand and then bring to life what's in my head.
Since my style is feminine with a touch of sophistication , I would probably love to style Olivia Palermo or Miroslava Duma.
