Q. Why do you love styling people?
I believe that all women deserve and have the right to feel special. Whatever the circumstance, my mission is to focus on my clients and their goals. To be a part of helping someone discover their true style potential and watch how it transforms their confidence and their lives is just an amazing feeling and gives me the greatest satisfaction.
Q. What are the highlights and the lowlights of your job?
Highlights: Seeing the enthusiasm of my clients when they have identified their style, hearing their great comments about how they enjoyed their styling sessions and the great experiences they have from applying the advice in their daily lives.
Q. Describe your personal style and what are your favourite 3 things in your wardrobe?
Being Scandinavian I lean toward the elegant and simple designs with a hint of luxury to tie it all together (think Gwyneth Paltrow, Rosie Huntington). Quality is definitely high on my list and I love understated pieces with special little details.
My 3 favourite things in my wardrobe have to be: my Yves Saint Laurent bag from Paris, gold cuff bracelet from Alice Menter and my Carlo Pazolini heels.
Q. Who do you think are the most stylish women in the world and why?
I adore Helena Christensen. The way she translates beauty into everything, from her photography to her clothes, is inspiring and really keeps true to her personality and not fashion.
Q. If you could change one thing about the fashion world what would it be?
Many women can be intimidated by fashion and really let it affect their confidence and self esteem. I would like to see the fashion world to slow down and focus on quality rather than being heavily influenced by and becoming a part of the money-making machine that exists.
Q. What would you pick as a soundtrack to your life right now?
Quelqu'un ma dit by Carla Bruni. It's the perfect track for sitting by the beach at sunset, with a glass of my favourite red wine, musing over the great things I've experienced in my life, and all the great things I've yet to experience.
