Foodie Friday: Rossopomodoros

By Lori on Sep 27 2013

This week I’ve been exploring my new neighborhood Camden, and along my explorations I came across Rossopomodoro. The contemporary and innovative design of Rossopomodors makes it impossible to walk past without taking a peak at the menu. Once you’ve gone as far as reading the Antipastos…you’re already asking for a table. Rossopomodors interior is quirky, modern, fresh and yet still gives that Italian warm welcoming vibe.

The staff know the menu at the back of their hand and aren’t satisfied with your initial order, but take it upon themselves to ask your favourite flavours and recommend the best accompaniments and extras to make your dish perfect just for you.

The pizzas we ordered came in the shape of hearts, that’s how much love and care is put into each dish. The ingredients are so fresh that it takes all guilt away from the fact you’re consuming an abundant of calories. I’m usually content with my own meal but the look of the Fusillo pasta was too hard to resist a taste. I would honestly have to award this my favourite cream based pasta I have ever tasted. Fusili pasta with buffalo ricotta cheese, Neapolitan pork sausage and ‘friarielli’ (neapolital broccoli) served with pecorino cheese. The mixture of flavours paired with the soft texture of the pasta made this a new taste, which could not be compared to any other pasta I have had.

I thoroughly enjoyed every minute at Rossopomodoros and look forward to making it my local Italian. Since leaving, I have been introduced to their excellent Drinks menu and think it’d be rude if I did not head there this weekend to sample one of their daring cocktails. I bid you do the same. Happy eating!
