As a big fan of online marketplaces I'm excited to tell you all about our new find.
A marketplace in the digital world is a website that brings together lots of different sellers on one platform. Etsy, Not on the High Street and of course BuyMyWardrobe are our favourite marketplaces to shop and now that we've discovered Loubilou Christmas shopping just got even easier!
Loubilou, a global emporium featuring individual sellers of children’s clothing, gifts, toys and accessories has just launched in the UK.
Loubilou.com brings together unique, high quality children’s goods from the very best independent sellers around the world.
The website is the brainchild of Heath Kane, father of two, award-winning designer. Frustrated by the limited choice of clothing available from high street retailers for his young children, he also found it a marathon hunt to find just the right sellers online.
“Loubilou is dedicated to supporting consumers who understand the value of buying limited production, high quality goods made and sold by individuals and small businesses,” Kane, who co-founded the site with Loubilou CTO Jordan Hammond says “Loubilou is for people who care about quality and authenticity, and not just price.”
Loubilou offers a refreshing alternative to the usual selection of mass produced goods offered by conventional high street stores. Browse 3000+ thoughtfully made and rare items including biodegradable bamboo toy race cars, handmade reversible dresses, and cardboard circus wagons for children to build and decorate.
My favourites are the personalised handmade dolls lovingly created from vintage and recycled fabrics. They are made to order so you can personalise your doll to include a chosen hair colour or facial expression.
