Steal Her Winter Colour Style: Jess Hart

By Lori on Jan 07 2014

The weather may be grey, but that doesn't mean you have to be! We are stuck in this fixed notion that black, grey and brown are the only colours suitable to wrap up in for Winter. This season we are banishing the dull Winter woes and brightening up our wardrobes with some colour! This week we are looking at stylish model Jess Hart for some colour pallet inspiration. Jess has gone for a pastel lilac skinny jean as the main block colour for her outfit. Even though pastels are associated with all things Spring, they're subtle cool hue allows them to be mixed and matched with your neutral staples like your Burberry Trench.

The mistake that is commonly made in attempt to add colour to your Winter wardrobe, is in thinking that one bold colour is going to do the trick. This just creates an incohesion of your outfit, it won't blend and look as one, but rather your coloured piece will just look out of place. To get an overall balanced look, it's best to have at least two colour items. Jess has blended her jeans with a light blush top, but what pulls the look together is her manganeseblue and purple scarf because it keeps to the same hues throughout the outfit. Tartan scarves are a great way to work this look as they have an array of colours meshed together that follow the same hue, giving you inspiration to put colours together in a match made in heaven.

Sometimes you have to make your own sunshine, here is our preloved Winter colour outfit...
