If you ever stalk street style blogs, there’s a good chance you’ll recognise Christina Centenera. She has become a style icon from having been photographed by Garance Dore and Scott Schuman of The Sartorialist fame. Not only is she the Fashion Editor of Austrailia's Vogue but is also a freelance stylist for the likes of Kanye West!
You will never see her in a pair of flats, she says it's because of her "insanely high" instep that she is forbidden to.She knows how to create magnificent shapes from statement pieces, whilst always looking effortlessly put together.
"I studied communications at university. My first job was the marketing assistant at Harper’s Bazaar. After three years, I was thinking about moving overseas but the editor at the time, Alison Veness-McGourty, asked me to join the fashion department as fashion producer, so I organised and oversaw the production of fashion shoots. After a few months the fashion features director asked me to be his market editor because he thought I had a good eye, and although I hadn’t been formally trained as an assistant, he felt I could learn the fundamentals of the job and it was a certain taste level that he felt couldn’t be taught."
