Pantone selects a color at the end of every year to reflect what they believe will become a major design trend, across all design platforms, in the coming year. Pantone has announced that Radiant Orchid is the colour of the 2014. The colour's connotations are of magic, royalty and feminism. Originally for princely robes, purple stands for power dressing! Radiant Orchid is petal soft, yet vividly intense and has made it's mark this Spring already.
Fashionistas are taking note of this and using the colours of the flower to make fashion come to life. Follow in the fuscia footsteps of Nicole Richie who took the trend head to toe by dying her hair purple earlier this month. Wear it bold as a singular piece or add a pop of colour to more neutral outfits, shoes are the best accessory for this! Extra style points for tone-on-tone, as seen at newly revamped Kenzo.
