When we started our Race For Life campaign back in March. We'd been truly inspired by the story of 35 year old Hannah Foxley, a two-time breast cancer survivor, who had recently been diagnosed with cancer for the third time in three years and was sharing her journey through a daily blog
It is with great sadness we share that Hannah has since passed away. Our condolences go out to her family and friends during this very difficult time. In light of this tragic loss of a young life, this has inspired us even further and we are even more determined to raise as much as possible for Cancer Research.**
So on May 31st the BuyMyWardrobe girls are getting off their arses and running a race.
Hannah's courage and determination has inspired us to take on something a little more grueling than our usual glamorous fashion events, to help a cause that effects so many women.
While we love donning our Nikes, we’re no marathon runners! So we decided to start small (in the hope to raise big!) and recruit a fashion pack of women from our community to join us in the Race For Life.
We all know somebody who has been affected by the terrible effects of cancer – so encourage your mums, aunties, sisters, best friends and grannies to help us and other women across the country to raise money for this great cause.
The 5k race takes place in Regents Park, London on Saturday 31st May 2014. Team BuyMyWardrobe will meet at 9.30am, to get into gear before the start whistle blows at 11am.
To join us in the race please follow the link to sign up and pay the £14.99 entry fee here. When you sign up, remember to join The BuyMyWardrobe Group, the group reference is TU3927. Once you have joined, send us an email to email@example.com and let us know you're part of the team! We will also aim to hold one or two training sessions before the race for anyone who wants to practice before! Bring your friends along! The more the better!
If you can't run with us, you can still help the cause and donate instead at our Just Giving Page
