Here at Styl.sh we love all things sustainable when it comes to fashion, so when a beautiful eco conscious company comes on to our radar we’re all ears. Fashion ComPassion are a new venture that aims to connect discerning fashion fanatics with brands that pride themselves on creative flair and being environmentally responsible. These two ideas combine in an online shop stocking a range of beautiful bags and small accessories to appeal to all tastes.
Founder Ayesha Mustafa started Fashion ComPassion in 2011 after leaving her job as a marketing executive – she made the decision to combine her two loves, fashion and social enterprise, and Fashion ComPassion was born. Ayesha travels all over the Middle East and Asia on the hunt for beautiful products to sell and we couldn’t be happier with her current selection!
We’re so in support of Ayesha and her beautiful items that we hosted the company’s launch party here at the BuyMyWardrobe boutique on 9th April, whilst champagne flowed and popcorn was nibbled the guests mingled and surveyed Ayesha’s wares. About half an hour in Ayesha took to the stage and spoke to the guests about her company and what she is looking to achieve (details of which can be found on the company's website) – after captivating her audience everyone was once again free to browse the products and play around on the Fashion ComPassion website, which is a wealth of knowledge about supply chains and responsible sourcing, as well as detailed bio’s about each brand that sells via the site.
The evening was a great success, friends and family of Ayesha as well as press and fellow business owners attended and were introduced to BuyMyWardrobe. There were also faces from Harpers Bazaar and The Sunday Times, showing that fledging businesses can be a big hit in the fashion industry. Overall the night couldn’t have gone better, and we’re so proud we were able to support such a fantastic brand so early on. We love this sort of thought provoking business, and to see how Fashion ComPassion has inspired us to be mindful of our clothing consumption look out for our #fashionrevolutionday post (and don’t forget to search the hashtag to get ahead on what we’re talking about!)
