Are you ready for your Spring clean and summer wardrobe ramp up? It is the time of year when I clear out my closets to make room for new fresh finds. It is also the time when I scour to find that elusive something – that something which I won’t find in everyone else’s closet.
For many, when they think pre-loved fashion they go straight for the ‘main’ designer names – Dior, Chanel, McQueen, Prada for example, but what I love to sniff out is the great London designers and support our home grown and emerging talent. Here is my Spring edit of some of the Best of British design on BuyMyWardrobe.
Basso and Brook have been going strong from winning the inaugural Fashion Fringe -
This floral dress would be fab at a summer cocktail party or wedding. Or you could dance the night away in this beaded top paired with a fab pair of cropped cream trousers, clutch and wedge heels?
Erdem has been a strong influence on London Fashion week for several years now and his pieces are already becoming collector’s items! This Erdem classic would be great at both the office and out on the town!
If you are a gal with a bit more of an edge – BMW (loving’ the acronym) has you covered – this House of Holland number screams Festival Fever! Or this embroidered Christopher Kane leather jacket? Secret Garden Party here we come!
So you see – some of the best finds, are often those overlooked young designers who show at London Fashion Week. I love to wear designers who’s voice isn’t often heard over the din of the corporate fashion world and it is an absolute pleasure to sniff out these fashion truffles from LFW designers to add to my closet.
