As you probably know, here at Styl.sh we love eco friendly fashion, and a wonderful brand that is fashion forward and style focused in equal measure has been bought to our attention. It goes by the name of Lost Property of London and their aim is to create stunning bags without contributing to the already huge amount of waste created by the fashion industry. Lost Property of London uses salvaged material and vegetable tanned leather to create their designs, making as small an impact on the environment as possible. Founder Katy studied textile design at Central Saint Martins and began specializing in print, however after graduating from university she realized she wanted to start her own label and attended the Liberty Best of British open day, where she pitched her idea of Lost Property of London. She showed the original Maltby tote bag which had been mocked up in a Liberty print, the bag was a huge hit and 250 were requested to sell in Liberty, where variations of it can still be found today.
The brand goes for a ‘rough luxe’ aesthetic which we adore, and the site is packed with loads of styles which are perfect for day or night, some strike the perfect balance between smart and casual so can take you from work to bar without missing a beat; we do love a multitasker!
Lost Property of London can be found in Liberty and Fortnum and Mason, as well as HERE
