Designer Jeffrey Horsley will be transforming a derelict space in hackney to create Ram Place Fashion Market, a pop-up street market, cafe, bar and event space.
You'll get the chance to shop the collections of future design superstars including Jelka Quintelier, Mei-Hui Liu and Kelly Shaw.
Creative types can take part in daily workshops and learn about fashion photography with Gisele Torres, upcycling with Queenie and Ted and creating your own jewellery with Kirsty Kirkpatrick. Or simply hang out and watch a master craftsperson at work, from milliner Sahar Freemantle, to bespoke shoemaker Sebastian Tarek.
In the evenings you will be entertained with live talks, discussions and special performances to include, a talk with rising menswear design star James Long and fashion filmmaker Kathryn Ferguson (whose collaborators include Lady Gaga and Richard Nicholl); a discussion on fashion, image and race hosted by author Tansy Hoskins, with Caryn Franklin and Jody Furlong; and a special performance by artist, satirist and anti-drag queen David Hoyle.
Local cafe Railroad will provide barbecue food and freshly-prepared salad boxes and Mare Street restaurant Rita’s Bar will be mixing a range of delicious cocktails come evening!
