Merci for the little black dress, the classy suit, No.5 and of course the one every woman wants when they walk through our door, the 2.55.

JK Rowling
Anyone who gets millions of kids around the globe to love reading is a world-changer in our book.

Princess Diana
As one of the most photographed women of all time, she combined the appeal of a Royal princess with her humanitarian charity work.

Margaret Thatcher
The first, and as yet only, female Prime Minister of Britain.

Emmeline Pankhurt
You could say some of the women in our top 10 wouldn’t have been able to achieve the things they have if not for her work which fought to give women the right to vote.

Rosa Parks
Today anyone can sit wherever they wish on buses due to the courage and determination of one woman, civil rights icon Rosa Parks.

Aung San Suu Kyi
One of the world’s most graceful freedom fighters, Burma’s pro-democracy leader and Nobel Peace laureate, famously held under house arrest for 15 years.

Oprah Winfrey
Queen of all media! Television presenter, businesswoman, actress, charity founder and campaigner… maybe we should change that to queen of everything?!

Anna Wintour
We just had to save a spot for the post powerful women in fashion!

Mother Theresa
She devoted her life to others so we’re devoting a spot to her.

Who runs the world? Beyonce does! Singer, songwriter, record producer, actress, dancer, choreographer, model, video director, clothes designer, yummy mummy… is there no end to her skills?
